anybody have a huge 6 ton jackstand I can borrow?

Yanking my burnt motor out, and trying to find one of those mega tall 6 ton jackstands that go like 24-28 inches up. I can't seem to find any locally, all of them are out of stock, I'm guessing as part of the big jackstand recalls that HF had last year. Still today, the only ones you can really get are the 2-3 ton that get like 16-18" lift. I'm not as handsome and skinny as I once was, and that extra 8" would mean a lot to me (THAT'S WHAT HE SAID) since I don't have a lift in my shitty 1 car garage.

Came across a buddy with these old ones that should get me up high enough, thanks for the offer. Amazing at how you can look at something for years, and then one day just dries up. Now comes all this dang work I don't want to do

My engine caught fire the other weekend at willow and I'm going to take the engine out to make the wiring harness removal/installation easier, plus accurately assess the damage. I also acquired the car with a partially bent k-member, so while I was looking at doing the swap after the season, I might as well do them both at the same time, and a few other things like toss on an MGW, remove the heater hose/evap core, remove that upper battery box area plastic thing for the antigravity, and clean up whatever else I can.

That’s a bummer, too bad it had to happen at a great track day event. I have a’70 Z28 that the new fresh motor just lost the solid lifter camshaft. So, I’m pulling it out again.

Heck, you could come on down and drink beer and watch me do that kinda stuff. Like usual, I have no idea what I'm doing, but what's the worst that could happen?
