I loved the way my car sounded when I was n/a. I had catted stainless works long-tube headers, with Solo Performance 3" Mach XV cat-back exhaust. Now that the cats are off and the Whipple is on, I pretty much HATE the way it sounds now. I don't mind it too much at idle, or even cruising, but imo....it sounds like shit when i'm in it. I am already looking at what I can do to fix this, just wondering if anybody else went thru the same thing as I am now?

Nope, my exhaust note didn't change. The only reason yours did is because you removed your cats. If you don't like it I would get resonators or high flow cats. The whipple isn't going to change your exhaust note like lets a say turbos will.

If anything I love the sound of my car more with the PC at idle, part and WOT especially.

I was the complete opposite. Boosting was the best thing to happen to the sound.

Did you go catless at the same time as the Whipple? I love the way my car sounds but it didn't change when I put the Whipple on. Are you saying it's just too loud or you don't like the exhaust tone? I was thinking about removing my high flow cats but sounds like I may want to rethink it.

Yeah, no question it is because the cats are gone now. I am looking at trying to add some 3" resonators, not sure if I have room for them though. The Solo exhaust is built different than most, the system has on ginat muffler where the factory resonator used to be on the stock exhaust. Going to throw it on the lift tonight to see what can be done...

Maybe toss the resonators in place of where the mufflers normally go.
I haven't seen anyone who located the mufflers in that location...cool idea though.
