Any tuners get a 2022 in the shop to see if its able to be tuned?

What are the new emissions that happened for MY22? I don't think they would be any different in their tuneability to any of the previous years.

They have a hydrocarbon trap that saps 10hp and supposedly the flex sensor hasn’t been figured out yet.

The flex sensor doesn't sound like it would be a dealbreaker though as far as not being able to tune at all. Maybe a flex tune or E85 or similar is not possible yet, but if staying with straight 93 shouldn't be an issue. I have not heard anything yet in that regards and I'm on the HP Tuners forums alot so if there was something it would for sure be discussed there.

There is differences that will require a 22 specific tune from what I have been told.

All depends on how locked up the PCM is. It lost 10hp do to emissions, there may be a whole lot of things made inaccessible. I'm guessing there will be ZERO tampering with emissions which likely means fuel/spark, & the P0420/P0430 is no longer harmless Haha.

that will be normal. got a motorcycle tuning guy. former nasa engineer etc. long story short, they've been putting pressure on him for years as hes been tuning and dyno'ing bikes etc for years, now he makes you sign contract/forms saying OFF ROAD USE ONLY / TRACK etc. but he even said its only a matter of time til hes forced to close doors. hes been tuning for like 20 years now.

The same thing happened for 2021. Some change to the computer made them different to tune than the 18-20. While I personally don't know what those changes were I do remember seeing many tuners having issues when the 2021 first hit and many tuners have a separate option for the 2021 on their sites. Cost is usually the same but qho knows.

I just put a email into a tuner this morning about it, real curious because I've heard rumors of 2022 being locked. If not then I want to get the car tuned and possibly a vortech on it right away.
