I'm considering the 3.55 for the v6, as many have told me it improves acceleration. What I would like to know is if there is any reliable data out there to prove that it's faster than the standard gear ratio, i.e. 0-60, quarter mile, etc.

Not being good on it... after some practice I'm doing 5.7 consistently with 3.55 AT, and I think there's room for improvement.

Anyway I think the deal is more when you need extra acceleration while driving. Difficult to measure.

3.55 will provide ~13% more torque to the wheels all the time.

The 3.55 will be faster than the 3.15 all day, no hard numbers though. The last gen V6 was A LOT faster with the 3.31 gears compared to the 2.73 that were stock.
