Thought about it. A lot.

I had a ā€˜12 B2 LS and loved the sweet noise.

Still considering it for the M1.

Mine was so loud at Highway speeds you couldnā€™t talk to your passenger

Just curious if anyone has done this upgrade yet and if so, how do you like it (sound)?

Any M1 owners do the side exit yet? More curious to if an owner did upgrade, how do they like the sound etc?

The stock exhaust is pretty nice. Probably won't find a lot of owners that are going to try this

I did it in my bullitt, the sound was definitely wild, too wild for me. I was coming out of a 2013 Boss as well and I can tell you the sound was way different. I ended up taking it off after a year, just never sounded right, too much rasp and tinny at WOT.

I don't plan to. The car, paint protection, A/S rims/tires will be plenty for me. Although I do find myself spending more and more time in the Carbon Fiber Addicts thread.

Hearing the as-built Active Exhaust up close, I'm very satisfied with that.

Anyone know if you can relocate the active exhaust to further up the pipe? Or maybe just add a cut out valve? That way itā€™s controllable for when you want the extra.

I don't have a mach 1 but have a GT with the boss style side exhaust. It is nowhere near wild imo.

For those that don't know, the kit comes with baffles to quiet it down or you can run it without baffles at all. You can also buy aftermarket baffles with different sized openings to adjust the volume.

I currently have it setup with no baffles at all with stock cat back. Cold starts are a little loud but nothing crazy. Certainly no more than something like Corsa.

I am happy with it and think I will eventually buy the QTP cutouts to be able to adjust as needed but its not bad as is. No real drone to speak of.

I have a quick cold start video taken right by the exit.

I have the same as DarkShadow, the part is Ford Performance M-5220-M8, should also fit any s550, except the verts. It is different from the s197 Boss 302's setup by being an X-mid not an H.

does anyone know if there was a fix to the problem with melting the side skirts after putting these on?

I will keep an eye on it since you mention it but I have not seen anything on my car as of yet. Never saw much online good or bad before buying it. Doesn't seem like a popular mod, not surprising given cost for a midpipe.
