Any leads on a car with a VIN/build date or one already produced for MSRP or low markup?? (No more than $3k) I know it’s a long shot but my current order hasn’t changed status yet and I’m starting to worry it might not get produced this year.

Prices are ridiculous around here in SoCal. I suggest that you search in far out places like the Dakotas, Nebraska, Maine, Wyoming and other places similar. They don't get many allocations in areas like that but their is also a lot less competition for buying one. I wish you good luck in your search.

A dealer in my town has a rapid red that is due in September. They are asking 85K which is 6k over sticker if you are interested.

They're cranking them out at the plant though. Pre-COVID-19 1 in 15 cars was a Shelby. Now it is about 1 in 6. The number of available GT500s on the new car sites goes up daily. Not enough to bring prices down but we're getting there.
