Any Interest In a Compact Spare for Brembo Equipped Cars?

Would you be interested in a compact spare that clears front and rear Brembo's?

Luckily I never sold the spare, as I recently acquired a 19" GT350....hope it fits..
You'll just need to do what I did in the same situation and get a spacer. Contact AA and they'll sell it separately.

How has this option worked out for everyone? I recently bought a PP1 car and need to get something. I'd hate to get stranded with a something worse than a puncture.

Jeff...I originally bought the spare tire kit for my 15' GT/PP....the GT was traded in and I just transferred the spare to my GT350....I also like the fact that I do have a spare and not just rely on the supplied inflator kit.

It's the only real option out there at the moment for PP/GT350 brakes.

I had to use the spare kit about a year ago. It worked fine. Unfortunately I had a truck full of tailgating supplies which had to be transferred to the rear seat to make room for the flat rear tire.

My only complaint about the AA spare is that it is larger than the 275 tire on a PP1 and really big when compared to my PP2 305/30R19! I wish a spare was available for PP2 cars. AA did say they can get a 135 temporary spare tire on their rim to get a closer diameter to the PP2 tire.

As has been posted many times before, the Torsen can withstand pretty significant differences in size between tires when it comes to a temporary spare.

OK but why put it under stress? All you need is to put a 135/70R19 tire and you are good to go for a PP2. It is then only 0.4" in diameter different. the tire they are selling is a 155/70 which would have a diameter that is 1.3" greater than stock. There is no need for a 155. Of course, the 135/70 tire is a temporary spare with very limited miles. I contacted Automotive Authority and they said they could get us a 135/70 instead of the 155/70.

Because you want it to fit in the spare tire well. My AA spare is very snug as it is, full-sized tires don't fit without being deflated.

135/70R19 would be close to a PP2 tire which is smaller than a PP1 or regular GT tire by 1/2” and might fit the wheel well at 26.4” dia.

My mistake, I thought it was going the other way.

Regardless, the tire size difference isn't enough to cause concern.
