I was surprised they didn't go with DI on the Coyote this year. I guess they need to leave a few tricks up their sleeve for down the road.

I noticed that the 3rd animation shows the crankshaft connecting rods spaced at 90 degrees instead of 180 degrees as is traditional on 4-cylinder engines. Is the 2.3L EcoBoost really using a crankshaft with 90-degree spacing?

LOL, I didn't even bother counting the cylinders on the third one because at the top of the animation (and all the others, too), the headline says: "Add direct injection and a turbo charger to an already efficient 4 cylinder engine and what do you get? Economy and power all in one. EcoBoost."
