The rain tray and hood vent are removable they say for track purposes to keep engine compartment even cooler

I know on the OEM, but I thought I saw a photo of the CF hood and it was one piece. I guess I saw what I wanted to see.

How much you want to bet Ford is going to price that vent into the stratosphere?

You are probably not too far off. I'm thinking less, however the complete hood is around what you quoted for the vent.

This is what I was thinking....... the two parts, hood and vent, look integrated as one. Oh well.

Tom: Since they plan to sell the vent and rain tray, me thinks that they designed the hood accordingly and didn't incorporate the vent into the hood itself.
Yep, bummer. Based upon the photo, I assumed otherwise.

I've rethought the rest of the bling components. I think they would look good. I just can't bring myself to put a CF splitter on because everyone knows, no matter how careful, it is just a matter of time.

I like to disassemble things.
Which begs the question since Ford has gotten stupid silly with GT350 splitter pricing....will FP bump the price of the CF splitter such that it is more than their OEM offering when it could have been less were it simply carried by Anderson?

I thought it was kind of strange that in the video they stated the OEM hood was aluminum and not plastic/composite (SMC). I would like to know the weight difference between the OEM SMC hood and the CF hood.

Anybody happen to know an Anderson Composites dealer who will ship to an APO address? Maneuvering the "find dealer" feature is not very user friendly. Thanks.

Thanks, Tom. Right now, this I'm working with--answer from AC when I said I'd like to buy a CF swing as soon as available:

"You can place an order through one of our authorized dealers now."

I just sent back a message explaining the situation and asking if they could recommend someone.
