Dyno pulls happened today. Extremely pleased with the results!

TL;DR: 437hp/375 ft-lbs on e75

^ Single pull

^all three pulls including panic mode. Disregard the AFR curve, its calibrated for pure gasoline so the numbers are not accurate. Its .8 lambda, which is right on target for the tune :)

Dave at ESP told me this dyno is notoriously stingy, he showed me a few similar cars and they all read low. The one I'm remembering is a 2015 GT manual with headers and a Lund tune that made 350 after the tune was done. He assured me multiple times that 437 is a very good number for this car and this dyno. :)

Fuel in my area was coming in at e75 on my sensor, but the tune gives full timing earlier than that, so there's not much to gain by getting full e85.

Whatever the actual numbers are doesn't concern me too much I'm very happy with this improvement and the tune. I think its perfect exactly where it is.

The log looked perfect too, fuel pressure and lambda were exactly on target the whole time. Trims were all acceptable, exhaust stream was clear and consistent. The GESi cats work really well at full throttle too, nearly no exhaust smell standing behind the car.

There is false knock which makes me wanna pull my hair out but thankfully its not effecting the horsepower enough to where I need to address it.

Also this shit is loud at WOT with the exhaust open,

Exhaust fitment has been an issue since the headers went in.

my exhaust motors are continually hitting the frame and I have now burned through the insulation on the control wires. Completely on the passenger side and halfway on the drivers. The connectors are getting obliterated

I’m disappointed because kooks are supposed to be perfect, unfortunately they aren’t, and it looks like I’ll need to do a slight modification to the connection pipes to get more room in the back.

its entirely caused by the headers, the exhaust is stock and not modified.

Ouchies, I have my own fitment ussues, but no damage to my AE valve motors or wiring thankfully.

What issues are you seeing?

I didn't learn my lesson on the ST, exhaust mods and fitment issues are one and the same.

Too much length. Gotta hack a good 1.5-2" off somewhere to get the mufflers in more and get the valve motors away from harm, lol

I'll hack it off the X pipe assembly I think. I cant take any more from the headers side of things.

Time to wake this thread up!

Many things have happened since I last updated this thread. The biggest and most consequential update is that I finally got a beater car to supplement the mustang. That has two effects:
  1. The mustang no longer has to endure New England winters. It only had to see two and a half before the beater was acquired.
  2. The mustang can now be modded better, I no longer have to keep winter drivability in mind when selecting parts.
The beater is a 2006 Mini Cooper S JCW, its a total blast to drive and a perfect supplemental car. Factory supercharged, making about 210hp in a 2600lb chassis. Out-handles the mustang all day, but is definitely a different machine.

I'm likely going to sell the winter wheels I have as they are no longer needed. Then, I can upgrade to a set of Apex wheels with summer only tires for the hot months, and use the stock PP1 rims with DWS06 all seasons for the rest of the year. Additionally this opens up the possibility of forced induction, but money is still a very large obstacle for that.

As for the foreseeable future, I'll be ordering the ford track pack suspension kit, and putting that in in the spring. Then depending on how money looks maybe I'll add a set of wheels this year, but likely next year. Stay tuned!

Swapped my homemade rubber fuel lines for some professionally made PTFE -6AN lines.

The ethanol sensor sits right above the driver side header and it gets very hot in that area. So I wanted to have some good quality heat resistant hoses.

@mejohn50 kindly told me all of the dimensions for these hoses so all I had to do was buy them.
