An Afternoon with Gale Halderman (Mustang Designer) - M6G Member Meetup

I am working on arranging a meeting with designer of the first generation Mustang, Gale Halderman, who lives in Tipp City, OH. He is part of the legendary history of the Mustang. Gale has a wonderful Mustang museum with artifacts from his years at Ford Motor Company. Most recently, you would have seen him in "A Faster Horse", the movie that chronicled the development of the S550.

Please vote on the day of the week and the month in which you would be interested in a visit. As the museum hosts many car groups, we might be meeting there as others are visiting. There is no charge to participate. Depending on how many people commit, we might arrange for a lunch to be served on the premises.

Folks,

We are officially invited to attend this coming Saturday, June 25, when 2 other Mustang groups will be meeting at Gale's home.

Start time would be noon (although we have been invited to come at 11am if we want to get a jump on this).

No charge for admission although they do accept donations to keep the museum running. Also, hot dogs, hamburgers, and soda will be available for purchase ($5-$6), and the proceeds are given to local charities.

Crickets indeed. I mentioned to his daughter that we might only have 5 or less people. They are hosting 2 other Mustang clubs with 50 in attendance.

Coaster, Coaster's wife, and I represented (although Coaster was the only one who represented with an S550 since I brought my '09 Bullitt up). We got ot hear Gale tell stories about working with the Ford management on a number of design projects, including the first Mustang.

Ohio, Indiana, and Norther Kentucky people, we have a Mustang hero living in the area. I do hope we can arrange another visit where more folks can attend and bring their cars. We would be welcomed back.
