I went to the track last night Cecil County Maryland Dragway I came away with a 15. 7 at 99.3 and a 14.7 at 99.7 . I launched off idol and when it hits boost it spins flat shifting into second it's spinning flat shifting in the third it's spinning. That was the 15.7 . Granny shifting in the second in granny shifting into 3rd it's still spins. I'm wondering how are you guys getting traction I saw AmericanMuscle go 13.80s with a stock EcoBoost. I'm at a loss here 1st 2nd 3rd spinning.

What is your Gearing, Wheel and Tire combination?
Were other people having problems with the track.
Even with stock tires you should be able to get ~2.0 60ft.
7 tenths in the 60 is good for about 1.4 seconds in the quarter.
This would put you in the 14.3 range which would be ok for a stock car.

I would have thought the track would not be an issue. Outlaw Street Car Shootout was testing yesterday and running today.

It takes some finesse to get a m/t car to run decent numbers on street tires. My '13 V6 was not horrible, but it had none of the low end torque like an EB. Best I ever squeaked out of it was a 13.29 @ 105, and that was after a lot of practice...plus I've driven manuals for almost 30 years..lol. Practice, practice, practice...have to find what makes the car work best.

BTW....did you do a burnout, or just clean the tires off real quick? The P-zero summers on the PP will hook decent, just very temperature sensitive. All they need is a quick hard spin to clean the surface....any more and they get slippery. I knocked down a 1.92 60ft on my 13 with those tires...m/t and PP.

Aha!!!! My first run on the night felt awesome. Of course the timing machine was not working at firdt. Every other time after that horrible spinning. Yes a quick clean. This is my first manual at the dragstrip in 15 years.

Tire pressure? Try somewhere around 28-30, quick spin as noted to clean them and then starting from near idle and getting into the gas.

On a decently prepped track, I can pull 1.8 60's all day. I lower the pressure to 26 psi and clean them off (quick spin).

How were you launching? What was your configuration as in traction control on or off. Advance Trac on or off. Sport mode on or off?

For what it's worth I pulled a 13.8 today on a back road with track apps this afternoon. With traction control off.
