On similar subject, I have a '17 and just received my ford aluminum covers. Is there anything else I should think about doing at the same time?? I have thought about getting the pac springs.

Do you really have to pay $149 extra for the gaskets and seals on an $1100 set of valve covers?
No, that's a markup you can find them cheaper elsewhere or maybe even reuse. I'm doing OPG when I'm putting these on and I got all the gaskets for like 250 from ford (timing cover, both valve covers, waterpump etc...) Its still a lot but I wanted OEM.

I believe they are not standard valve cover gaskets and will require their specific gasket. I could be wrong though…

Those are damn sexy covers, but a tough pill to swallow at that price.

I am, but trying not to spend $1,100 on something cosmetic. Those are what prompted me to look for other options.
That's for the raw cover. Another $150 required if you want them anodized. Another $149 for seals. Oh and the PCV hoses will need to be converted to -12AN fittings.
If someone is going all in on a high powered rebuild, then this would be the icing for the cake.

Correct, they won't fit 18+ because of our direct injection pump being in the way. Same for us with the gt500 covers which I wanted for larger vents
Larger vents ?

Terribly pricey. Especially since the previous one are blk. Once installed they will be covered with wiring and tubing.

Not much to notice in the end.
