Finishing up the QA1 install today, looking forward to getting on the road with it. I scaled the factory along with the QA1 and showed a 10.2 lb weight savings.

Factory 31.3 lbs
QA1 Carbon 21.1 lbs

Wow factory is lighter than I would've thought. My 12 Boss factory was 39 lbs. CF replacement was 20.xx lbs

I'm pretty sure mine was quite a bit heavier than that. 40lbs or better. I'll weigh it again and see.

Yeah, Ford did a decent job at shaving weight with their driveshafts. Hard to resist some carbon fiber though :inlove:

Wasn't there a pinion angle issue at first on these vs the 2-piece? How was that resolved?

QA1 for 2+ years of banging gears at around 1/3 the weight of OEM. no issues at all and still looks beautiful.
what's that part number please?

I don't think there was an "issue" per se, but I know that @Epiphany checked his and made some adjustments to get it perfectly where he wanted it. I don't think it was at a point where there would have been any issues. He's the only only I know of that's even checked it (or posted about it at least).

My QA1 (Part#JJ-21208) has a born-on date of July 2020. I just installed her a couple days ago and so far I haven't had any vibration or any noticeable issues for that matter. I did install solid diff and subframe bushings, along with a diff brace.....so I am receiving more diff chatter and road noise. Most importantly though, no vibration at high speeds :whew:

I've been taking small steps and increasing the throttle on the roads and she feels VERY responsive. WOT should be fun, just need to get back under the car and make sure all is still snug before going full send.

I like to disassemble things.
If it matters....QA1 makes the tube for Ford's 2020 GT500. I put mine on a lift immediately after driving it home from the dealer and noticed the helix and overall appearance were almost identical to the QA1 CF GT350 driveshaft I installed a few years ago. I called them to verify it and the engineer I spoke to admitted I was the first to notice it and that as a supplier, they don't advertise the fact. Apparently Ford engineers were impressed with QA1's quality and design and approached them about supplying.

The 350/R should've gotten one from the factory along with hood pins.
