I think 40 degrees is the changeover point. I HIGHLY recommend two sets of wheels. Living in the north you'll change them twice per year and unless you work at a tire shop, you'll have to pay for the swap each time and have dudes jacking with your expensive wheels and tires that don't give a crap. There are very reasonable options for your winter set and gives you a lot more tire size flexibility. I went with Conti DWS's and though they are definitely squirmier than my bigger stickier (and harder riding) summers, I'm pretty happy with them so far.

I have a set of four Cooper Zeon all-seasons on order.....will be installed next week. I will report back on how they perform in the cold and wet here in the PNW. I have the HP package and the Cup2's are scary un-drivable this time of year. The tramlining is dangerous as hell on some of the high-usage freeways and roads here.
How are the Cooper Zeon's treating you? Looking at these for my ride as well.

I only have around 100 miles on them so far, as the snow has hit here east of Seattle. But so far I am very impressed. I've been on two-lane highways as well as the I-90 freeway with them and there is a world of difference between these and the Cup2's. The tramlining is totally gone with the Zeon's and I feel significantly more in control. I am not going to track the car, so I have no plans to change back. These are very good all-weather tires in my opinion.

Glad the Zeons worked out for both of you. I actually ended up going with the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarates. I have the 10" PP2 SP2 replica rims from LMR and the Exhilarates supposedly have similar wet and dry performance to the Pilot Sport A/S 4's and I was able to get them a little cheaper than the Zeons with some rebates. No plans to drive in the snow and that seems to be where the Exhilarates are most lacking. We'll see I guess once I get them mounted.

Yep.... I may very well need a 2nd set of rims... Will probably be cheaper and better for the factory rims, in terms of not subjecting them to the salt.
I have the non HP Mach with the optional wheels. I think I'm going with Michelin AS tires for winter. Levitown Ford has the base Mach 1 wheels for under $900 for the set. Gonna pick those up for the winter months. I like the idea of keeping the car completely stock.

Money aside, it seems the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4's are the absolute best you can get in an A/S. I went with the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate's as they have really good reviews as well, but I saved over $400 over the Pilot Sport A/S 4's.

Not sure I found an answer in this thread but did someone figure out the actual HP tires that are all season?

HP M1 is 305 & 315 with 30R and 19". This tire is not available by Michelin. What do folks use if not Michelin for their all seasons?

I went with a 19x10 square setup (LMR R357s), with 285/35/19 Michelin A/S 4s. While not the HP size, it affords me an A/S setup for cold days, allows me to easily change over from one tire to another and saves the original rims.

Iā€™ve got the HP and been running conti DWP 275s on all 4 this whole winter and havenā€™t seen any real issues. For how I drive, theyā€™ve handled great. I think Iā€™ll try to get 285s the next go around just so that side wall isnā€™t stretched as far, but after 900 miles on them itā€™s probably just nerves than reality.
