Resurrecting this thread since I'm finally driving a GT500 and it's just about February.

Has anyone been able to fit All Seasons or Winters onto the wheels? I can't find any that offer a 305/30/20 as well as 315/30/20

I bought the base model (11x20 wheels), that came from the factory with 305F/315R summer tires. In Maryland, we have 5 months where temps might be <40F. I drove the car in early December in the 30s, and the rubber on the summer tires was hard as a rock and the car shimmied down the highway. There are several summer tires in a 315/30, but no cold weather choices (there are 315/35 options, but the 35 is too high). For "winter tires", Pirelli makes a 305/30 and 315/30 which would have been a match, but it's not cold enough here for me to want deep tread, full-on snow tires. All-season 315/30s were not manufactured by the top 7 brands that I called directly. And ONLY Bridgestone Portenza had a 305/30 all-season with a good light snow designation. I've been on them for 6 weeks now, and have been pleased with them driving with temps in the low 20's. Yes, not as grippy as the summer Michelins (that had zero grip in cold) but I'm driving this car in all 4 seasons. I read some reviews about Portenzas may be "loud" or might cost me 0.5 mpg due to rolling friction. What I've found is that the tires are silent as assassins because there is a loud roaring sound coming from under the hood. Mileage so far is 14 mpg (highway/town mix). And while the C8 is a beautiful car, I take my 2 kids to school in the winter in this beast...

GTB: Thoroughly enjoyed your post and glad you found some tars that meet your needs. Those of us way south of the Mason-Dixon are lucky enough not to have to worry about the OAT. We do get an occasional freeze and if it ever gets that cold, I'll put a space heater in the garage and maybe even take the weight off her with the lift that's coming. <smile> Yeah, I know, very obsessive but can't help it. :-)

Awesome, thanks for your input. Are you doing 305s all around? I assume no issues getting them into the rear wheel.

Factory set up on 11x20 front was a 305/30. The rear wheel is an identical 11x20, so the 305 mirrors the front, and rim size is compliant with tire size guidance. So, yes, running 305/30 square which is helpful for tire rotation. In late April, I'll throw the Michelins 305F/315R combo back on.

I did learn, because of the aero kit on rockers, if not using a mechanical lift, you have to jack up the rears wheels first in order to slip a jack under the front wheel lift point. If you slide a low profile jack under the front, the initial extension looked like it would crack the rocker aero. So two jacks if taking off front tires at home without a lift.

Looking at All Seasons. Southern Indiana. Yes I know they "don't do anything well" but there will be a lot of sub 40 degree days with no snow on the roads. The trucks clear it fast around here when we do get the several hard snows. Mostly it's driving in the cold and slushy conditions but not like Michigan level slush. So for me it's not worth the cash and lower tread wear to go with Winter Tires. So the next question is speed rating. Let's face it, I'm not going to be driving like a maniac in slippery conditions. I'm going to be babying it when going around corners as you should when driving a RWD car in the winter. I "may" hit 80-90 on days where the pavement is dry but it's still very cold (like 10 degree cold, not -30).

So for Speed Rating can I gain a better ride (and tread longevity) by going down to a V rated tire? Yes I'm running Conti Extreme Contact ZR rated Summers. I'll pay for the extra stickiness during the non-cold months as yes I will take the twisties around me at high speeds. But what I'm hoping for is a reasonably priced cold weather option for my region. I've got a local shop that carries the Sumitomo HTR A/S PO2. The W and V rated versions are rated at 65K while the W's are only rated at 45K. Is it reasonable to go with the V's? Again I don't intend on doing any 180MPH driving in February... Running 20x9.5 square set up, just going to swap tires instead of going with a wheel/tire combo. Will be sticking with the 275/35's

Not sure if I agree on your thought process, but I think you’d be impressed and surprised by performance V-rated snows. At temps 40 and under the snow compound is the best plus I felt the performance matched how you’d want to drive 760hp when it’s cold. 3 winter seasons beating up a Hellcat on Yokohama wDrives were fun.

Well, honestly I've been going back and forth and haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm also looking at Winters and some 19x8.5s going with 255/40's. So I'm open to some feedback. I've just heard that if the pavement is dry it really wears winters out compared to All Seasons.

IF you go with real winter tires know that the compound is for low operating temps. Meaning this, leaving them on a few hot days and driving them will drastically shorten the life of the tire.

Love the Continental DWS's dry, wet, snow all good. The problem is with a light rear and large meats I wouldn't expect much. Had Pirelli snow tires on my SRT8 300 and used it to go from Indy to Chicago for years (some tough winters). Made it doable but man still some pucker factor.

My suggestion - instead of dropping 1500 on tires buy a beater (Front wheel drive Taurus or something like that) Save your Shelby for the nice days and have something you don't worry about in snow and salt.

I installed Michelin PS AS4 305/30 all around. Very happy.

Any pictures Tyler? I'm thinking about the same tires but 315/35/20 in the rear. I just hope they're not too tall, there isn't a lot of room there as it is.

The 305/30 are only 3 mm shorter than the oem 315/30 rear. 315/35 is much taller (110 vs 94.5).
These tires are virtually indistinguishable from 4s on the sidewall. What pictures are you looking for?

Sometimes tires run bigger or smaller regardless of their size rating as you probably already know. I was just curious if the new AS4s were true to size.

I’ll try to take some photos tomorrow, but they look true to size.

I think that Michelin PS AS4 305/35 on all four corners would work. Bonus, you get a little more ground clearance for the front splitter.
