No. He only placed the order, I think they just had that one available

2020 GT350R in Kona Blue / White Stripes with red accents. CF in dash, I mean, full loaded

I would suggest you take the 2020 MY GT350 VIN Tracker spreadsheet found elsewhere on this forum and start calling dealers with -R cars on order ASAP to see if any of them are unsold. You might get lucky and find one.

It will probably be a few months. Once ford schedules it to be built it should come up. Are you sure the dealer actually submitted the order in the computer? Some dealers have been known to say they submitted it and take a down payment and then months later they change their story.

well, he submitted the order. I have all documentation with the order number. I hope all goes good.

I put $5000 to place the order.
The MSRP was $78020, and they asked $5K over, and I accepted due to all dealers with incoming GT350R Kona blue were asking the same amount over and they were far away from Florida. So, why not pay 5K for my dreamed car in a Ford dealer at 20 miles from home?

The manager called me right now. I thought my order was not approved, but thanks God this call was for good news. They have a 2020 Shelby GT350R Heritage with an assigned VIN, so the factory allows him to edit that Heritage for a 2020 GT350R Kona Blue. So my car will arrive sooner.

Sorry, but I like the Kona Blue with White stripes and red accents. The factory just allowed us to edit the heritage to get it sooner. Maybe my original order will be edited for a Heritage R, I don’t know.

It wasn't a value judgement based on whether one is better than the other. It's just helpful to know which order will be switched so I can make a note of it in the spreadsheet.
