I just got a new 2017 with 1k demo miles (still being sold as a new car with full warranty) for $48.5k. Sticker was $60.5k

Deals are out there if you shop around and call a few dealers and make offers. The key is to find one that is motivated to sell

There were 633 R's built for 2018 and that number includes 21 pre-production units.

I seem to remember a thread about a member's build where it was confirmed that the member indeed recieved the last R produced for 2018 which was 629. But I did not even think about the PP cars.

Here are some of the better deals I am seeing as of today for new 2018 GT350 non-Rs. These are advertised prices, so you probably can negotiate even better (or they might be prices just to lure you in). They seem legit though...

2. Orange Fury with Black OTT, $5,213 under sticker: https://www.lecknerford.com/new/For...10a0e0adf224e678d3c162f91.htm?searchDepth=1:1

3. Black with White OTT, $4,992 under sticker: https://www.laurelfordpa.com/new/Fo...20a0e0a6b109d7b7587d4925b.htm?searchDepth=1:1

4. Black with no OTT, $4,984 under sticker: https://www.toddjudyfordofhuntingto...8-Ford-Mustang-Shelby+GT350-1FA6P8JZ8J5503125

5. White with Blue OTT, $4,915 under sticker: https://www.jimschmidtford.net/new/...b0a0e0adf1f544f40e83b0114.htm?searchDepth=1:1

6. Magnetic with Black OTT, $4,616 under sticker: https://www.pegueshurstford.com/new...70a0e0a177bf67da2dbadb351.htm?searchDepth=1:1

7. Black with no OTT, $4,171 under sticker: https://www.spikesford.net/new/Ford...a0a0e0ae80dac34aa7a8eb9f7.htm?searchDepth=1:1

FWIW, I bought my R from Pegues Hurst Ford (#6 above). Very good dealership in TX.

That seems low, compared to 2017...
Yes, a big drop in production numbers for the R from 2018 versus 2017 and to the tune of 309 less units in 2018.

For the first 4 MY's there were a total of 2138 R's built and of that total only 135 were Base R's.

2015 - 37
2016 - 526
2017 - 942
2018 - 633
Total - 2138

Yes, we both thought that Ford produced 629 R's (which includes 21 Base models) for the 2018MY but obviously we were both wrong.

If anyone wants proof or validation for the 633 R's produced for 2018 I can tell you that these are official Ford production numbers therefore certainly good in my books!

anyone notice the significance to the production numbers for the first two years?
2015 - 37 (the amount that where first built back in the days when the 350 was first produced)
2016- 526 (the horsepower rating of the engine)

I wonder if there is any significance to the 2017 and 2018 numbers. And why there were less built in 2018.

I'm really considering a 2018. But my rational mind is telling me to wait and see what happens in the coming months when the 500 is released.

thanks for posting up the production numbers.

You can get a deal on an 18 350/R. There still out there new on the showroom floor. I don't see any downside to waiting for the GT500 debut, pricing and availability. There will still be some 18 GT350/R out there I'm guessing. If not then there should be some 19 GT350/R cars out.

You are correct. There isn’t much of a downside to waiting for the 500 announcement.

The reason why I almost don’t want to wait is that I found a 350 in the exact same color arrangement I want.

Oh well, I’m sure they’ll still offer the same color choice for 2019.

Depends. You better check on that on the Ford website to be sure. Reason I didn't wait to get my R was the deal was excellent and I just don't think I'll be able to or want to get into the price range for the GT500 with ADM's. I could have held off for a 19 R but that's taking a chance. I was ready for my 18 R.

I'm waiting. Screw it! I know 500 will be out of my reach (because of ADM), but I'd prefer to have a 19R, if it all possible.

Looking for an R at or near sticker? I have not verified these, but worth looking into.
