Making the S550 move, and spend alot of time here so figured I would post it here as well.
Selling a rather unique motor built by Mike Curcio at MCRP. I am getting all the details from them, and will update the listing with everything, as it as been some time since we went over the details.
It was built to be a more powerful Ford version of a LS7 which doesn't suffer some of the oiling issues when side loaded. In short:
-World Industries Aluminum 351 Windsor Block w/ Cleveland main bearings:
--Bearing tolerances where set when the block was hot tanked to running temperature 195 degrees.
- 4" square lightweight rotating assembly (neutrally balanced)
-.125 Over pistons brings the displacement to 427 CI
- 6.25 rods
- Trick Flow 225 High-ports port matched to Victor Junior FI intake manifold
- Canton Rear Sump Oil Pan
- Fidanza Aluminum flywheel
- Accufab Long Tube for a 67 Mustang, with 2" Primaries a tight fit in every regard, however they do not hang low. They will require some clearanceing if using the rear sump pan. The car was slatted to get a Agent 47 SLA front suspension, which is why it doesn't have a typical classic Mustang front sump.
The engine was intended to go into my 67 GT500 Clone for Open Track, HPDE events, and built to live bouncing through the RPM band; 6500+ with current valve train however the rotating assembly is good for closer to 8000.
This would make a great power plant for a Cobra kit car, Big Block Ford power, Small Block Ford weight like the 289 Cobras
Have over 16K into it, looking to get 14K.
I also some other drive train and fuel components and will be posting them shortly.
- NIB Lakewood SBF SFI Bell housing/ and Blue OEM Ford Aluminum
- NIB MMR Strip Strip Fuel system
- Used 83 lbs Low impedance injectors
Components are in Easton PA, currently I work in Detroit Metro Area, but will coordinate if interested. I also still have military obligations coming up, so will be away for the later part of July into August and replies may be delayed. However, again will coordinate for any interested parties.
