I was almost in an accident yesterday myself. On my motorcycle a block from my house and a truck on the opposite of the road is parked with the door open and as I'm coming up on it I cover down on the brake levers just in case and this kid darts out of the car literally 6 feet in front of me. I grab a handful of front brake, lock up the front tire and just as it is about to low side I let up on the brake right the bike and miss him. Good thing I was ready for something and only doing about 20mph..

People these days too busy texting, talking on the phone or just not paying attention.

Damn it man - hate to see pics like this. We put so much time/money in these cars & when something like this happens, esp to a friend I feel the pain/frustration as if it happened to me. Try & stay upbeat & hope everything gets sorted out brother.

Well folks, I won't be able to make it down for this cruise at all.

I really wish it wasn't for this reason but one of the most unfortunate things happened on my way back home from work this afternoon.

Long story short, I was making a right turn on an intersection. The light was green but I was stopped since the pedestrian signal was on "walk" and someone was crossing. Guy coming in from behind did not stop soon enough and hit me. I'm okay though and definitely don't think I'm injured in any way.

I'm just severely bummed out and I still have that sinking feeling going down my stomach.
