Can anyone running this chime in? Just wanting to get a feel for it before pulling the trigger. Looking to see what your thoughts are on reliability and drivability? Also, I was wondering about the airing out. I heard from a few people that airing out with wheels that are too wide can damage the fenders. What is too wide a set up for this system. Thanks for any help.

I've done more than a few Airlift 3P systems on the S550 cars.

Yes, you can ruin your fenders if you're a.) not careful or b.) have improper fitment or c.) have improper camber (or some combo of those 3 issues).

When I install, I setup the car with a few protections in place. One being the "rise on start" option. When you air out the car at a show, for instance, and then get back in to start and drive away, the car automatically airs back up to your pre-selected ride height.

Also, with regards to drivability... we've had some small issues with manifolds needing replaced under warranty, a fuse popping here or there when someone goes and installs a stereo on the same circuit we had the airlift on, and several cars that needed pillow mount bearings replaced. But overall, they're badass and one of the best kits on the market imo.

If I can help you out at all, I'd be happy to set you up with something that will get the job done for your goals.

I think my main concern is just my wheels being too wide. The Air Lift system seems pretty reliable from what I've been reading. My other issue is finding a reliable shop for install. Rather not pay over 3K for bags just to have a shop mess up install. My other question is how do they perform under stress? I'm boosted and also a little worried about that being an issue.

For my application I'm looking for drivability with a little bit of show for shows. I do go to the strip occasionally and I don't do the track. I know if I don't go bags I will probably go Ohlins coil overs.

So for starters, you need to share your wheel and tire setup that you're so concerned about. That way we can tell you what to expect.

That group of cars I posted, all have a wide array of different wheel setups and specs, and not a single one has fitment issues.

And most of them are boosted, too! Lol. I know of at least 2 airlift cars in the 8s, and several in the 9s. No problems there at all.

Where are you located? Airlift has a list of installers/shops based on geographic location.

19 x 10 (285/35/19) Front and 19 x 11 (305x35/19) Rear. Currently located in Port Orchard, WA so not far from Seattle/Tacoma areas. Sorry for the dumb questions just trying to make sure I have my eggs all in one basket.

I'm gonna guess your 19x11 is probably around a 50et offset? We have bagged 19x11 / 50et / 325s. My car is 20x11 / -16et / 315s *widebody. Have done all 4 corners with 20x10.5s on 285 squared on Velgens with a 7mm spacer up front.

There's plenty of ways to skin a cat, lol. I am willing to bet you have no issues with the wheel fitment though brother.

Look on Airlifts website and see what they have listed for shops in that area. Sadly, I'm way across the country in Florida, lol. Or I'd be happy to install for you!

Awesome. Thanks for your help! I feel a bit more comfortable. I will look on their site but I will keep you in mind. I'm transferring commands to Pensacola, Fl for a bit. Don't know how far that is from where you are but could possibly work. Originally from Homestead.

Muhhhhh closer than Seattle 🤣 But still a haul. Pensacola is probably 5ish hours away from us.

I was digging around on our YouTube channel to see if we had any good Airlift videos to share with you. Here's the couple I found:

I'll definitely be talking to you when I get to Florida. Emailed the nearest shop in Seattle and they wanted 3K for a kit but another 3.5K-5K for Labor and install. Thats more than my Roush Phase 2 cost.

We're more like $3500ish for parts and $1500 for install. I'm very thorough and OCD on my installations, and so we request 3 days with the car so I'm not rushed. Here's a couple examples of my installs:
