Interesting, this is the first time I've seen this. Cant find much info about them online it seems. JPC does have an available add on called "Coyote support system" I wonder if its the same idea. I will have to run this by them when the time comes.
That "coyote support system" is $1675 per JPC website...I would hope for that price you're getting more than cylinder wall supports, but yeah I'm not sure what the JPC support system is exactly.

I came across those cylinder wall supports initially from this video. .
Seems like a legit system if you're not going to be running crazy boost and giant hp.

Keep us posted on what JPC says about them, and what route you wind up going.

EDIT just found this shortblock on JPC site...looks like even with sleeves this block is also running a similar support system.

Getting antsy so I'm posting an update lol.

Gutted my sound system, built a new box for just one sub. Rearranged the trunk and got rid of one amp, moved the sound processor, had fun cleaning up the mess of wires I made lol.

Three months to go and I'll be sending it off for my new motor. Made $1100 downsizing the sound system and lost ~120lbs of weight too.

Thanks man! Looking forward to getting it back in time for the spring.

New engine details?
Most likely going with an RGR Forged block from JPC Racing. Going with head studs but skipping sleeves and upping compression to 11.5:1 to get a little more out of my small blower. Hoping to be able to re-use my block however to save on cost.
http://www.jpcracing.com/rgr-built-5-0-coyote-short-block-rated-1100-hp/
  • Forged 4340 H Beam Connecting Rods
  • Ross Forged Aluminum Pistons
  • Total Seal Piston Rings
  • King HP Main Bearings
  • Clevite Rod Bearings
  • ARP Main Studs

Aside from that I'm moving to direct port meth injection and maxing out the P1X, aiming for 900whp.

Read through the whole thread. Congrats on the power, but sorry to hear about the transmissions and motor. Just with everything thing that I have read through, I would lean towards getting sleeved just for piece of mind. Any thoughts about more upgrades to the transmission? Hopefully you can get back on the road sooner than you think!

Good luck

Thank you! Sleeves would definitely be nice for peace of mind but budget comes into play. Every coyote builder I have checked rate un-sleeved built motors between 1100-1200whp. I think I'll be lucky to hit 900 with a P1X and 11.5:1. By the time I get it back I'll have had the car down for 8-9 months for the purpose of paying bills and saving money for the repair. Sleeves is an extra $3k and I'm not willing to wait any longer and don't want to go in any more debt lol.

Could do a 2018 block, with the proper pistons of course. More rigid cylinders, cast in valley support and larger head studs on the 2018 block

I would think there would be a big issue with the direct injection and different configuration of knock sensors making it not compatible?

Maybe others can chime in but I'd think that u just run the center knock sensors as 2018 has 6 bosses. All the DI stuff is limited to the heads I believe.

Received my direct-ported methanol intake manifold today. This thing looks beautiful in person. Can't wait to see what it can do.

5GPH in each runner along with a 10GPH in the intake pipe for a total of 50GPH of flow.

Also will be switching from my eBoost Street to a Cortex Boost controller. This controller will also control the methanol injection in one package and offers 3 failsafe features for the meth. Much more customizable as well as boost and methanol can be mapped in 3D in regards to boost/RPM/speed

Looks amazing. Saw this on ProMeth's instagram page. Are you planning on upgrading to a F1A-94 head unit?

Thanks man. No I'm not I don't know what made him think that lol, we never discussed what blower I had. Maybe he assumes it for the power level without realizing a P1X is capable of 900-950whp
