Aftermarket Exhaust tips for Active Exhaust S550?

I was wondering if it was possible to change the exhaust tips on a stock mustang gt and still maintain the OEM Active Exhaust function. I don't want to shell out couple thousand for an aftermarket active exhaust.

You could, yes. Not sure why you'd want to, but you could. The valve is at the base of the center pipe from the muffler, and a shop could probably cut the pipe off, then weld on new tips. You'll likely have to measure and do some searching to find a set that will fit.
