7 months of Mustang ownership....so what do I feel.
As a daily drive on Sydney roads I thought I would reflect on my experience...

Challenges:
Judging objects in front of the car is a constant effort
Avoiding grinding my rims on those nasty gutters
Avoiding driveway dips, parking garage challenges (no matter how far away I park from people I always find someone who wants to park right beside me)
Worrying about stone chips with all the road construction around the Westconnex project
Not enough space to stretch the cars legs with the traffic, cameras, cops and speed limits
Not enjoying the fuel consumption (around 16l/100K) and the price of Vpower

Benefits
No more concerns on country drives with my "Gnome" spare tyre solution
Enjoying continuous positive comments from other drivers and pedestrians of all ages and genders
Enjoying the sight of my fellow Mustang drivers getting out and about and always giving a wave
A joy to start it up every time and head on out somewhere...I never tire of this!
Pedal to the metal joy especially in sports mode
Overtaking HSV cars

Interested to get your thought if you have had your car for a while.

You're spot on with the challenges.
I don't mind the fuel economy of >15 litres and also use Vpower, it just comes with the territory of owning atmo V8.
Can add another challenge to the list: ridiculous turning circle, painful to navigate in tight underground carparks.

What's up with the massive amount of foam that builds up in the boot area sills after washing or is it just me.?
And winding the windows down after drying and the seals stay wet and make the windows smudge again!!
Hate that
love the car that's the only negatives for me!

It's not just you mate.

I opened the boot after washing it last weekend and both sides were full of snow foam - had to practically scoop it out.

Very interesting:

I've had mine 5 months and my first impressions mirror your list of challenges. The size can be a pain around town - that rising bonnet/hood(!) line makes it feel bigger than it is. I love it overall but I'd add a few minus points: Brakes feel over-assisted, pedal positioning poor, wipers not fast/effective enough in heavy rain, windscreen mists up easily.
Mine has XT XTA adjustable coil overs, Steeda 'Stop The hop' package, 20inch HRE wheels and Michelin Super Sports - it's is a joy in the twisties. The biggest problem is finding roads quiet enough to stretch its legs!

I'm loving this thread. SO far, 5000km in just over 3 months, mostly city driving, but the odd longer drive out into the countryside. It's total love for me.

Are there any cons? Great question. The lack of space in the rear seats has become a problem for my giant of a daughter. She's 10, and at 172cm (yes really) sitting in the back for more than 20 minutes becomes painful. Having said that, given the option of her mother's SUV or the Stang for a day out, its takes her no time at all to make the decision. And she looooves being dropped to school in it. The various boys (and their dads) inevitably stop for a gawk and a chat.........and an increasing number of the mums now I think about it! :-)
Other cons......The brakes are so grabby at low speed, but so fantastic at higher speeds. Just gotta learn to be gentle on them at low speed.

Why don't you sit her in the front?

Plenty of headroom in the back of the 'vert ;)
My wife is about the same height and has the same issue in the fastback.
Top down motoring is the answer!

The only Con I have so far after a month is! "I want a Digital Speedo!" sick of putting it into engineering mode on my trip to Sydney from Gosford. The variation between the actual Speedo Dial, Cruise Control & engineering Mode are Ballistic!

for me that idiotic parking brake on the other side and cup holders are absolute pain in the arse mainly in manual car.

Only problem with the parking brake is when you've got a bigger passenger and you have to ask them to move their leg to grab it :)

Cupholders are for coins, phones and the garage remote anyway, so no problem at all.

Just my 2c.
