I finally was able to get it out of storage today after the rain stopped and things dried up. I sent it down an empty back road shifting at 6k and stopped caring about all the potential "what ifs".

As great as the 4.6 3v GTs were to me, I remember why I moved to the 5.0 now.

Nice, I hope you have a blast man!
Shake off that parked mustang syndrome haha.

Also, sometimes you can't save them forever even if you try;

I pushed over 1k HP down the stock motor for well over a year before replacing it with a built engine.

That Gen3 Coyote is a rock solid engine...

It's not really about the reliability of the engine/car, rather the OP's unfounded phobias.
Unless/until he gets past his baseless fears that poor car is destined to be a garage queen...

The only thing that has killed any of my Mustangs was other cars waking up and choosing violence. The irony is that every accident I've ever been in has involved me driving like a normal human being at the speed limit or at a full stop and then having an encounter with a vehicle driven by somebody who shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Your thread is literally the first time I'm hearing about these things being issues.

I have a '16 GT/CS with a Gen2 Coyote that has 96K miles on it. I'll be buying a new battery for it later today but the only problem I have with the car is that sometimes it's WAY too easy to get it to spin. The thing just wants to gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

This thread has been stuck in my head for several days now.

How does misinformation like what the OP was fed proliferate so much? He said "all the things I've read" but... Where? Who's saying these things that they burrowed into his head so much that he was afraid to drive his car?

It’s kinda like the Voodoo in the GT350. Some people had issues but all of a sudden every Voodoo is going to spontaneously grenade.

Most likely the same here, a couple people had issues so all of a sudden the coyote is not reliable. The ones that have issues are always the most vocal so some people think it’s a more widespread problem than it really is

I have a 2018 Mustang GT Premium with a Roush TVS 2650 and PP1 (18K miles). Originally the vehicle's Roush SC kit was installed by a Ford dealer in South Dakota when purchased new in June 2018. I replaced the original kit's GT350 analog throttle body with the 2019 Bullitt digital throttle body and uploaded the latest updated Roush tune (voucher family P1318-P1-AA) two weeks ago. The vehicle was rolled over to 18K in a drive last night! Since owning the vehicle, I placed 9K on the odometer since purchased one year ago with only 8700 miles. I drive it aggressively when road conditions allow.

I live in North Dakota, cold winters prevent enjoying the vehicle year round, but late spring, summer, and early fall allow blasting down a deserted roadway! I purchased this car to drive it (to work in the summer when weather cooperates) like it was intended to be driven, as the vehicle was designed. I have a nice pickup as my everyday driver in less than ideal weather conditions.

My advise, drive the Mustang, enjoy it, don't baby it, it is meant to be driven aggressively! Take it from a 69 year-old lifelong hot rodder who couldn't afford to drive anything but a POS when I was raising my family because of money restraints. HAVE FUN with safety in mind!

Start a thread here on BBQ tick or 2K rattle and you'll see where it comes from when all the armchair mechanics come out. Be sure to mention oil additives if you really want to watch things burn.

It seemed to be a hot topic on YouTube after the 2018s came out, and I still see things on the Facebook groups.
