This is from an 18
This is a perfect demonstration of why many great theories don't survive first contact with the facts. Aside from an extra wire to the ECU, the two different MY setups are substantially the same. On both, all of the injector pin 2's are hot when the car's running.

@FLATPLANE - if you're getting this from the Motorcraft Service website with a subscription, could you pop up the 2019 version as well. @mmakam2's car is a 2019.

Sorry for guessing on my part. I know that unit does not interact with the ECU as it is not a tune and calibrations for the extra amount of fuel needed for E85 are made at the injectors

Update: I jumped the power for the harness directly to the battery positive. Unit started working. Trims look good.

AFD is going to redesign the harness and send them out to affected parties. This is an issue with newer model Gt350s and a voltage regulator on the fueling harness. I will be the guinea pig and keep you guys posted.

Got this just now from Gray @ AFD: "The new slave voltage regulator is cutting power to the Commander, which has both processing and the Bluetooth sending units on the circuit board. As soon as we bypass the regulator all functions will work as designed. Ryan, our Engineer, is working in the new harness now but it may be a week or two to get them designed, made and shipped. I don’t want to over promise but you should know that GT350 is our number one priority right now."

I'll post the workaround instructions later today, basically cut one wire near the commander plug (middle red wire pin) and run a length of wire to the fuse box with a fuse tap. This will ensure the unit turns off with switched 12v power.

The workaround I originally posted was directly to the battery so that was just for testing purposes.

Ok

1. First, cut back or pull back the black heatshrink/harness coverings about 6-12in from the commander plug.
2. Find the Red wire on Pin 8. This is the in the middle row, second from the right if your looking at the back of the plug.
3. Cut wire atleast 6in, and strip and little bit of rubber to expose some of the wire
4. Find another length of wire, and either crimp, solder, or connect in some reliable way and make sure its covered with electrical tape or something so it doesn't short against the body.
5. Get a Fuse Tap, and use the 5a fuse as pictured and run the wire from that to the length you have from commander.
6. Make everything neat, make sure there is no exposed wires and your done.

For good measure i would do a KAM reset if you have the ability to do so, otherwise your PCM won't learn for awhile the new trims and could run rich for some time.

So thoughts after running around about 30min.

Idle is stable but not as smooth as before, probably because ethanol requires different idle timing. Not a big deal but thought I'd mention it.

There are more backfires than before but it's not so significant. It has to be the perfect storm of letting off the gas after a certain load etcc for it to happen but it does happen more.

It's super hot today, I ran it up to WOT a couple of times (E67), it does seem to make power but I can't say it's making more power. The dyno should reveal all. I'll try to get it in next week.

I should add tip in power, transient throttle, off idle are all SIGNIFICANTLY improved. It revs all the way to 8k smooth as butter.
