Last Monday I was driving through Birmingham, Alabama on the Interstate when a heavy rain squall hit. Heavy traffic slowed to about 50 mph. I proceeded down a gradual hill to the bottom. Hidden from view by vehicles in front was a pool of standing rain water. When I hit, about 3 inches of water came over the hood towards the windshield. For a second or so I was looking through several inches of green water. It flowed over the soft top and down the back of the convertible. I wish I had had my GoPro running!
Never had that experience before in over 50 years of driving. I am totally impressed with the Mustang. Not one drop of water came through the seals around the soft top! Luckily, I had the windows closed! Also the car tracked perfectly, I never lost control. I did have the snow/wet driving mode engaged because of the heavy rain and all season tires.

Very good info...the fact you didnt suck water into the intake is something.

I hit a puddle like that years ago just outside Huston, TX in a 92 Camaro...almost hydrolocked the engine and went from 60mpg to about 10....like hitting a wall.
