Is there a way to adjust the latch or the striker?
One of the doors on my new Mustang is not closing tight enough against the window seal so water would try to get in.

That's what this guy thought but AutoNation Ford in Scottsdale totaled his car (not sure if the original problem got fixed):

Seems like it's pretty easy process.
There is no adjustment on the striker but the latch has some adjust ability so my door now shuts closer to the body. However the door is hanging too low so the striker grinds the lock a bit.
I am gonna have the bodyshop adjust it while they fix the dents on the door.

Adjusting the door latch will only misalign the latch to the striker. Where the door bolts to the body is where you'll adjust where the door sits, Then you adjust the latch accordingly.

But wise decision to have the body shop fix it.

Yea, the door is misaligned vertically as the body line don't line up properly.
As for the latch the door was not closing tight against the body causing water to get pass the seal.
