That doesn’t make any logical sense that it would be the amp causing it then as it’s drawing no power when the audio is off. Something else is amiss.
Yeah, I'm not sure what was causing the problem. When I removed the amp from the car though the issues went away.

Disconnect where you tapped into the camera for turn on power. Temporarily use the amp power to turn on the system (jumper remote to bat+) and drive around to see if it still happens. The likelihood that an electrical component causes a misfire somehow if far less likely than the likelihood that you're drawing down voltage from somewhere you're not supposed to when looking for a switched source.

I know nothing about audio systems so take what I say with a grain of salt. But I do know from past experience modern cars are very sensitive to power draw. If the computer thinks a circuit is drawing too much power it goes batty. I learnt this when I added extra lights to my Harley and when I wired trailer lights to my Edge. For the trailer lights I had to buy a system that powers the trailer lights directly off the battery so the computer wouldn't see the extra power draw. Is there some way you could power the amp direct from the battery yet still have it power off when you shut the car off?

Yeah the amp would turn off when the car isnt running due to the remote wire being tapped into the back up camera

Maybe I worded that wrong. Is the computer going wonky because you've tapped into the backup camera wire and the computer is detecting a fault because there should not be any power draw from that wire when the camera is not being used?

The battery management system is finicky on the 2018+ cars but I’ve not heard of issues on the 15-17. But, even wiring amps correctly shouldn’t cause any issues as long as the charging system is working correctly.

So I took out everything already, but the ground for the amp was bolted to bare metal I shaved the paint off in the spare tire compartment

It's possible, I've seen other people use the back up camera as a remote wire with no issues but I can't think of anything else that would be messing with the car like it was

Voltage drop in the amp trigger circuit. Trigger with external source and test.

Two different audio systems causing the same problem means something is wired incorrectly if nothing else was changed and the car drives fine when the audio systems are removed. I wouldn't tap into the backup camera for remote turn on. Check entire power wire, entire ground wire and move that remote wire. I prefer not tapping for amp remote wire. It is easy to run from a switched current fuse in the fuse box.

I did have to replace the battery right before I put in the sub, But ive checked it a couple times to see what it was resting at and it seemed okay
Did you perform the new battery reset procedure?

I did not, it happened with the old battery and the old system though. I honestly didn't know that there was a bms reset until recently, it's been a good bit since I put the new battery in, should I still go ahead and do the reset?

Okay I gotcha, yeah I'll have to try doing something else with the remote and seeing if that might fix it. I thought it was a battery/ alternator issue since my voltage while running sometimes goes as low as 12.1, that's with the amp and sub out of the car. With it in it went into the 11s sometimes

I also ran my remote wire for the amps to fuse location 23 labeled switches, power windows, rear view mirror and used a 1 farat cap which supplies 800w total rms to amps. No problems at all. I'm thinking it's the battery reset procedure you need to perform
