Is it possible to add the active exhaust feature to a 2018+ GT that wasn't equipped with it? Would some combination of software (via OBD2 like I've seen on BMWs) and mechanical changes allow for an OEM-style active exhaust function?

I'm asking because I'm looking at upgrading my exhaust but my car wasn't equipped with an active exhaust feature. I'd like to start the car in quiet mode when I'm at home and around where I live, then open it up when I'm out and about.

Thanks guys!

I’ve see people use the roush active system! It comes with a turn switch you mount to your console! I believe they have a phone app now as well.

I'm looking more for a way to integrate it into your dash settings just like cars that are already equipped with it. My buddy has a BMW 3-series and was able to add a few features that didn't come with his car via an OBD2 port dongle of some sort (apple carplay being the most significant). I was wondering if there's a way to trick the car into thinking it came equipped with an active exhaust just like what he did with his BMW.

First: check your fuse box under the hood for these 2 fuses. If you have them - you can install it.
Looks like I'm good there

It’s going to require a bit more work but it is still possible!
