Wow. I had no idea the Mach AE was louder than the GT AE. As much as I love mine (and keep it in track mode always) I’m not sure if I could get by with it being any louder. Maybe so.

Its probably only little bit louder. Not worth the upgrade from your AE.

To my ears, the Mach 1 sounds more deep, less raspy than the GT.

I recently posted this package in the Engine/Mods section. Looks like the kit comes with mufflers plus valance. I'm wondering if the exhaust portion without the cosmetic goodies are available at a decent cost.

Good question. Do you need the valance for the bigger tips or will they fit in the 18+ with no modifications? If they’ll fit without the upgraded valance, I’d be willing to buy just the mufflers with the bigger tips.

I have this intake/tune on my car and I also have AE. I can confirm, as well as many others with the same kit, that the exhaust sound became deeper after installing the larger intake components.

I'd definitely look into the exhaust just to get the bigger better looking tips, not a fan of the tips on the car now and haven't been able to find an economical solution.

I wonder how they activate the valves. I have factory installed AVE in my GT/CS and can activate through the main display (400A analog unit) or toggle switch. I have the option to set to quiet mode (programmable in display based on time of day) and revert to normal after preset. I can also toggle from normal to sport + and track via switch. I would think the display would need some type of programming to access the new features.
