Active exhaust “quiet mode” - does it quit under WOT?

I’ve been meaning to ask about this for a while.
my active exhaust seems to work as designed with a noticeable difference between settings.

I decided to see if the quiet mode made any significant difference in how hard the car pulls...when I let it rip from a stop, the exhaust started out quiet then suddenly got loud again, midway in the RPM range, IIRC. I can’t say if it opened up all the way to full volume but it was a sudden and significant change.

Is that normal?

I don't think it opens as far as track, though. I agree that heavy throttle opens it some but I notice quite a difference at WOT in "track" vs WOT in quiet.
