The picture that I posted was with stock tune. I have the 3.55 gears and was running 26.1 inch drag radials. I now have a Livernois flex fuel tune but the shift points are the same as stock. At the strip a few weeks ago, I held it WOT until it shifted to 7th.....127 MPH and around 7300 rpm.

The only time I have ever had it shut down was on the street when I left the traction control on but that happened in the lower gears due to wheel spin. It doesn't shut down with traction control off at any speed.

Interesting. The more info we can share the better. Edelbrock is reading this thread right now while they go over my data. :)

My car doesn't have drag mode. I'm wondering if this is yet another thing making me regret the base model car.

I am not sure if WOT shift points are higher in drag mode or not. The shifts are extremely firm, though.

I have a 19 A10 car with 3.55 gears and an E-Charger. In sport mode, the car shifting itself... it shuts down at 120-121mph BEFORE the shift at 6,600 rpm. It falls on it's face and THEN shifts to 7th. I honestly thought 7th was an over drive until I researched it and seen that 7th was 1:1. It felt just like my 94 AODE car going into OD at WOT (something I try not to ever do after burning up the band a few times). I have the Edelbrock Warranty tune in the car and can't retune it without tossing the warranty. I've asked them if there is anything I can do about it and retain the warranty. Until then, do you any of you know if I can use the paddles to "short shift" the car at 119mph into 7th before I cross the finish line? I just sorted out some bad belt slip issues and would love to see what the car will do now.
If you are keeping the tune and gearing you have then you'll have to live with this. It's part of the tune.

drives me bonkers the dash doesnt display gear like my AED tuned 2016 did. Im sure if i got a tune for the 2018 would too.

Either way it should from factory. Not just flash on the dash when you grab the paddle.
I know this was posted a long time ago but FYI - This can be changed to display full time via some tuning software and you should ask your tuner if it's possible with the tune you have if it's something you would like.

I've heard a gear change may not fix this. I'm not against a gear change. I plan on running quicker after the warranty runs out and I can switch to E85 as it's much easier to get here than 93.

Most limits are set by RPM or trans output shaft speed not MPH. So a gear change could help or should help since just a change in gears moves this issue from 120 to 135 mph (3.55 vs 3.15). I'm sure there is a tuning way around this as well but that's ruled out in your case for the time being.

I doubt the eddy stage 1 tune removes the tcu limiter being that the tune does not touch any transmission tuning. Fyi.
If they were the case, it would shift damn near every gear since it's under a much higher load. I don't see how there's no trans tuning at all.

Has anyone tried unplugging the deadhead to see if it helps this issue?

Did you notice the rpm? How about the rpm at the other shifts? Apparently, yours is shifting to 7th far under redline.

I could try track or drag mode and see if it makes a difference
