I don't trust Ford to do it right...AN Fittings and lines!

Give this man a cookie. Outstanding recalls don't fare well when it comes to resale or visits to the dealer or warranty claims.I get that you don't want the dealer to touch your car. I don't like it either. My fear is doing this repair myself would effectively mean that I might be on my own should I have a problem with the engine later down the line. It also means you will still have an outstanding recall as far as Ford is concerned and that could make selling or trading it a problem
Ah, that makes sense. Since his car did not have the cooler initially, there should not be a recall on his car I would imagine. He owns a tech and is modifying his car for the coolers. It is really good work. For us Track and R owners I agree and will wait for the warranty repair. Will I like it, no but it is covered under warranty and my work is not.
You are confusing the oil cooler line fitting recall with the transmission and differential cooler issue. All GT350's will get this recall notice.Ah, that makes sense. Since his car did not have the cooler initially, there should not be a recall on his car I would imagine.
Where did you get these fittings i"m having issues finding them. Place and part number please? They fitting is welded to the bung, then the bung attaches with that little purple clip thing with and Oring inside...
Seconded. At least the name of the type of fitting for the OEM oil cooler so I can find/make my own adapter to AN fittings.Where did you get these fittings i"m having issues finding them. Place and part number please?
These fittings did not exist as stated above and look closely at this picture. TonyJ5150 stated that he welded two fittings together to get the fitting in the picture. So it was a custom item.Seconded. At least the name of the type of fitting for the OEM oil cooler so I can find/make my own adapter to AN fittings.
