A great Ford Racing kit would be the Tremec out of the Mach 1 with cooler.

We should petition Ford into doing this.

This post brings me back to the Fox body days...Tremec 6spd was the end-all-be-all mod.

And yes, I’d still like to have one. Let’s see who jumps (or has already jumped) on the grenade first to retrofit one of these into a GT.

Multiple people have already installed GT350 TR3160 transmissions in GTs.

Honestly, I am perfectly happy with my MT82 but if it breaks, I will absolutely go this route before putting in another one.

Having looked into Tremec swaps for my Dodge Dart, that Levittown price is about the going price for a new/T56/T6060/whatever version of the 6spd. No surprises there.

With the Dart, I would need to fabricate some custom parts, cut new holes, etc.. things I'm hesitant to do to my almost 50 year old survivor body but I have to assume that the swap is easier with the Mustang. What else would you need to install?

That's the point. Ford should do this with all the lines and coolers pre packaged.
Then they'd have to get engineering to do approved installed instructions - including modifications needed to make it work. I can't imagine what the jacked up price would be to make it worth while profit wise.

I mean I guess, but they have that it's called the GT350 or Mach 1.

For those not wanting to pay the premium on those, we buy the transmission, lines, cooler and bracket separate just as easily. If you need everything packaged together and can't buy 4 parts separately on your own then you probably shouldn't be embarking this project to begin with. Adding a bunch of parts to a shopping cart and entering your credit card information on a website is by far the easiest part of this project.

Except the front bumper is not ducted to flow air to that cooler on a GT. I'm not even sure there is room to bolt the cooler up inside the front fender on a GT.
There's room, the GT fender is the same as the Mach 1.

But as you mentioned, there's no grill opening in the 18+ bumper like there is in the 15-17 and GT350s/Machs.
