There was no reason for this thread to start. The OP just wanted to start a shit show.
Agreed. Anytime a thread starts with ā€œI thinkā€ you know itā€™s not going to end well.

So OP, how about getting your ass and your car to the track, find a GT350, and prove your hypothesis. Donā€™t forget to put it on video and Good Luck.

I don't have or want an HP car. My car wont keep up and I am OK with that. Some of you guys need to take a breath, someone will always have a faster car than yours. It OK to talk about it with out getting all emotional. Always more hanger flying and bench racing than the real thing get over it.

Loved my 350, once you go past 3000rpms it will make anyone in that car giggle like a little girl who just farted. Looking forward to the low end torque, digital cluster, and comforts of the Mach 1.

You also have to remember while its +40whp for the GT350 and +15wtq for the Mach1, what's gonna help you more on the track? I suspect unless it's a VERY twisty track the GT350 will be pulling away steadily lap after lap assuming equal drivers and rubber. In a VERY twisty track where teh GT350 cant make as much use of those extra RPM it may take the GT350 longer to pull away but I still expect it to.

In the end though its like what? 2-3k price difference in cars? So I would REALLY hope they perform very close to the same level.

What gets me is that having the Bullitt engine somehow only saves you 2-3k over having a bespoke Voodoo engine and better brakes? TO me I'd easily pay the extra couple K for the GT350 at that point unless I'm just worried about extra maintenance/repair costs. Which if that's the case I'm likley not going to be able to afford to go tracking either lol

My 2018 PP1 R1080 has ran side buy side with a 350 from 60 to 140MPH (I have no idea how well the other guy was shifting) So from this experience I believe the MACH 1 will hold its own on a race track.
no dog in this fight, but thereā€™s your problem right there...you made a blanket statement from a one time situation.

basing things on that (and my last Friday night) no Porsche 911 will ever be able to outrun a 350R on the freeway

I have no intention of bashing anyone. I just assumed that every one thought of the Mach 1 as a "Parts Bin GT" and not as good as the GT 350 on track. My 2018 PP1 10R80 has ran side buy side with a 350 from 60 to 140MPH (I have no idea how well the other guy was shifting) So from this experience I believe the MACH 1 will hold its own on a race track. If that upsets you I am sorry. GT 350 are very kool cars and I would love to have one. I have a very bad left knee so a 6 speed is not for me.

Iā€™ll answer how well the other guy was shifting. Horribly.

He either was a flat out terrible driver, or didnā€™t start in 2nd. 60mph in 2nd gear in the 350, youā€™ll be in his rearview in a matter of seconds.

2018 GT PP1 A10 11.83 119 MPH
Same day and same track, I don't think there would be much looking in the rearview on either car. The MACH 1 has 20 HP on the PP1 car.

I'll be honest... Seen about 4 GT350's here at the strip and they are low 13's 99% of the time.. 2018 GT's are 12.4 to 12.7's...

I know this thread wasn't about straight line speed so I'll se myself out. I don't want to get beat up by manual drivers... :p

You havnt tried lining up against a 10R80 car from a dig have you LOL!!

Most importantly people fail to see is the GT350 engine is worth the price of admission period.

Those that dont think so likely havnt drove one.

Hell personally Id rather have a boosted GT350 over a GT500 or any other S550 based combo you can dream up.

Voodoo rpm and turbos.............

Anything else doesnt quite cut it.

That voodoo does sound sweet. Best sounding motor ever.

100% this. You buy the 350 for the experience of the Voodoo. Who gives a shit if it's slower, both cars are plenty fast enough. Faster than the average person will be able to drive them.

I like the Mach but I'd take a 350 100% of the time if I were spending that amount of money.

Engine that often breaks and bit better brakes that are not really needed? Ok. Are you comparing same equipment with that price? It's 60.5k MSRP for Mach 1 Premium with HP and Recaros (without possible discount at good dealer). GT350 I saw online start at 65k and they're leftovers, not produced anymore. I'd say it's more like 5-8k difference still.

Go buy it if that's what you want. Plenty people will be more comfortable with Mach 1 than with GT350. In Europe GT350 was never even sold so I thank god for this opportunity (we didn't even have PP2 which in a sense we have now in form of Mach 1).

When I bought my Bullitt there was a new GT350 right next to it for 62k on the lot.
