On a N/A going from 24 degrees to 27 is probably a solid 25-30whp difference.
Really? Wow. Thank you 94 E10 !!

If you like that, on an FI application every degree of timing is worth about 20 hp !
That's crazy !! But, makes sense. Good thing I'm sticking to NA haha.

I discussed this with some technical people I know. Here are some other thoughts

2) Additionally, Ethanol has a lower flame temperature than Gasoline. So, Ethanol doesn't cool an engine more than gasoline, it just doesn't burn as hot as gasoline does resulting in a lower engine operating temperature.
This isn't entirely correct. It doesn't just burn slightly cooler, the solvency/ability to hold water provides a cooling effect from the ethanol before combustion. Vaporization is key.

I get 4 MPG better on pure 93 than I do with E10 93.

1/4 mile trap speeds are the same. I'd rather have pure gas and the better efficiency.
You must get over 30mpg normally, or that wouldn't make much sense.

I don't really see a difference with MGP but at the track I noticed almost two tenths on my ET. Now I know that could be the DA or track conditions but the main difference was E10 and then 100$ gasoline.

My trap speeds are the same, Edgewater sports park. So the power is the same just uses more e10.
