A lot of people have been asking about how the 800R twin turbo GT350 would do against a new 2020 GT500. We decided to put it to the test and took a 800R turbo GT350 and our shop 2020 GT500 (stock) to the Shift Sector Half Mile event in Indy. Below is the race footage along with the dyno video and overview video for this exact 800R build. Enjoy!

800R twin turbo GT350:
822 whp on 93 octane
Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
Toyo R888R Tires

2020 GT500:
~685 whp (estimated)
100% stock

One of the few times I like how the turbos have attenuated the exhaust sound of a car. Removes a bit of the rasp, but keeps the "angry" sound of the Voodoo. Love it.

Excellent work gents!

I think you guys upgrade internal engine parts on some of the HP upgrades. Will you share what internal engine changes you do to the 2019-2020 GT350 at different power levels?

800R and 1000R builds only get upgraded oil pump gears. Once you get to the 1200R and higher that is where you get a full engine build. Rods, pistons, valvetrain, etc.

Early on there were concerns about modifying the voodoo engine. I talked to one owner with 20k on his twin turbo GT350 and he was problem free. So many variables but are you seeing the voodoo holding up with added turbos?

We have a pretty large sampling of cars (25+) and have not had issues. The majority of the cars we do are also low mileage.
