7500 redline in Miata, more power, telescoping wheel

That sounds great, a higher redline and a good horsepower bump in a car that light will make it feel great. The telescoping wheel helps with the taller folks too.

The redline should help with some character to that engine, hopefully they give the exhaust some touchups too.

The Miata we have all been waiting for. 240hp would be better, but we will take what we can get.

Agreed that 181 is better than 140, but still too gutless for me to take it seriously. As always, I really like the size of the car, though. Too bad the Mustang isn't a little closer to this size.

This is good news. Part of the fun of a Miata is an engine that will happily run to the redline and that was really lacking in the first version of the Miata's SkyActiv 2.0. Even with the old 6800 RPM redline it wasn't really enthusiastic past 6k.
