Anyone else get slapped with an increase? I've heard, and I can understand a moderate increase, but this is ridiculous. Even the CS rep was baffled. After a 15 minute hold and talking to her manager, it basically came down to increase in accidents regarding either the GT350 or the Mustang in general.

Sounds like Obamacare. ;) I thought I read that V8 Mustangs have the greatest number of single car accidents in the US. That's not a race you want to win.

Yes! Mine went up $98.00 for 6 months and wondered why? I've never had an accident and haven't had a ticket in 15 years... well, until tomorrow, knock on wood.

Yup, mine went up over $500 for the year on my GT350. I have Amica (no tickets/no accidents, been with them for 15 years) and argued with several managers. One was very helpful and did an investigation as to why. She said that either the IIHS or somebody like them did something with the ratings so they all went up. I'm not surprised to see this thread.

Yup I'm another casualty been with State Farm for years and they called and said the Shelby was going up $23.00 a month but did not know why. Possibly increase for replacement parts or higher rating etc. Sucks!!

Mine is now the most expensive of my three cars to insure even though I have it setup as a leisure car, always garaged and limited miles.

My GT350 cost 1500 per year. My Hellcat is only 1000. Makes no sense.

Just added my non-R, and my price went up $30 over a 2010 GT Prem with 90k miles. And I live in SF Bay. Looks like you need to go shopping for better insurance? Or get married, have a mortgage, get older, etc. to change your risk profile.

I had Liberty Mutual and rates had always been pretty fair but they quoted me $5k for adding the Shelby. I shopped it around and went with Ameriprise for $1400/year.

That was about the same for me when I swapped mine out for my 2012 GT, but I think the OP is talking about a hike when it came renewal time.

I got the same message (from my State Farm agent). I assumed it was because I had recently had the windshield replaced with zero deductible and thought it had to do with that. Not sure if this is better or worse.
