6-speed manual owners; is your engine braking delayed?

If yours is doing it for seconds, it lasts a lot longer than mine.
My gf tried to time it with a stop watch and its less than 1 second in my car.

I asked my tuner to reduce the rev hang in my '05 years ago. He did reduce it and with stage 2 cams it still doesn't stall on me, but it tries to sometimes when the motor is hot and I pull up and try to back in the garage. The cams don't help matters.
