Took my 2018 ESS supercharged 18 to the 1/8 mile track yesterday. First run launched fairly easy 1.51 60ft on the 1-2 shift spun pretty bad ended up running 6.35 @ 116.61. If not the bad wheel spin 1-2 I believe that could have been easy 6.2.
2nd run tried to launch higher and spun hard got out of it. DA was 1100

Mods
ESS G3 supercharger 120mm pulley (7.5psi)
GT 350 manifold and 87mm tb
LTH catted long tubes
1050x injectors and vmp bap
Tuned by OZ tuning
E30 for fuel
Forgestar f14 drag pack

Its a PP1 premium car so pretty heavy with the big brembo brakes.

Should be able to go high 9s based on that slip. I think I went 9.80 at 144 with procharger p1sc and pump 93. My 660ft was similar, so you are right there.

7.5lbs of boost and 116 in the 1/8? Sounds unrealistic. My hellion twin 62mm 19gt, A10, E85 on 7.5lb spring car, which is allegedly really 9-10lbs, trapped 110mph in the 1/8. 140mph in the 1/4. Tuned by PBD.

It makes 9-10 in the cooler weather.

Here is video of boost gauge with that pulley setup.

7.5psi from an ESS puts some big mph on your TT setup, proof is in the pudding.

I don't have it anymore but the proof is if a hellion car actually only makes 7lbs of boost with 7lb spring, I never verified it. As you can see, the ess car is making more boost than advertised with that pulley. I am definitely interested in the ESS kit but would be very shocked that an ess car is faster than a TT car at the same psi.

That's why we have drag strips. Grab a lane and see what happens. Many ways to achieve a specific et/mph, could be many different factors at play. Weight, suspension, tires, weather, etc. Hell, N/A S550's are runnin 9's.

Great first time out though, it should only go faster from here on out.

Being old school. I find it hard to relate to the 1/8 mile times.

I understand the 1/4 well. Have no experience with the 1/8th

here is a comparable 1/4 time slip from a procharged car . He ran a little faster 1/8 but trap speeds would be similar. He didn’t spin on 1-2 shift where I did pretty good.

What I find interesting is how most of the actual speed is attained in the first 1/8th of the 1/4.

Its not look at a stock mustang it runs 93-94 in the 1/8 and traps 118-119 that’s only picking up 25 in the last 1/4 where’s mine will pick up 32 or so. Big difference plus your covering ground a lot quicker.

What I find interesting is how most of the actual speed is attained in the first 1/8th of the 1/4.

Let's say 3950 running weight combined? 660' @ 116.6mph is about 960hp +/-.

Your boost gauge is either reading 2.5-3psi too low, or there's unicorns under the hood.

E30 fuel would normally not resist knock above 17 degrees of spark advance at that power level.

Where's the magic here?
