I purchased the SMcQ back in September, but it was October before the Suspension was put on my vehicle. This review covers the entire kit as it is really designed to work as one unit. Big shout out to Rod who took the time to work with me as I made my decision and for the support he offered throughout install and whatnot. Here is what was in the kit:
Steeda Dual Rate Ultimate Handling Springs (part of the DIFM)
Steeda ProAction Adjustable Struts & Shocks (part of the DIFM)
Steeda Camber Plates (part of the DIFM)
Steeda IRS Subframe Bushing Support System (part of the âStop the hopâ starter kit)
Steeda IRS Subframe Alignment Kit (part of the âStop the hopâ starter kit)
Steeda IRS Subframe Support Brace (part of the âStop the hopâ starter kit)
Steeda Front & Rear Sway Bars With âWelded-In-Placeâ Solid Billet Ends
Steeda Front & Rear Billet Aluminum Sway Bar Mounts
Steeda Bump Steer Kit
Steeda Billet Aluminum Vertical Links with Poly Bushing
Steeda Ultra-Lite Chassis Jacking Rails
Steeda Extreme G-Trac K-Member Support Brace
Overall, there are more pros than cons. I have logged about 1k miles on the suspension so this review does include break-in / settling; I will try to update over the next few months:
Pros:
Would I suggest this kit to a friend? ATM, I am 70/30 based on my 1st month experience.
What is the current rank of this system? ATM, I am looking at 4 stars (I reserve the right to update this after the replacement endlink is installed and another 1k miles are put on the vehicle):
+1 star for looks
+1 star for stability
+1 star for price
+1 star for ride height
+1 star for ride quality
-1 star for endlink insanity
-.5 star for NVH
+.5 star for freebie clutch spring assembly

Pros:
- Ride quality is close to stock. The Dual Rate springs kick over a bit faster than the stock progressives, but the ride is stock on the highway. Bumpy country roads become a bit bumpy, but it is less ârage rabbitâ and more âfocused frogâ. (those terms are coined now..)
- Stability is drastically improved. Acceleration at any speed is more vectored (less diffused) so very little power is lost to course corrections and whatnot. Also, turns at speed are planted, and the limited roll exhibited by the stock setup is severely reduced. You turn, car go.
- Ride Height is attractive, but functional. While a drop of 1â will still allow for parking in most urban environments, it is not very functional for most of Texas. Our highway roads are better than most states (COME AT ME BRO!!!), but backroads and farm to market routes can have hidden surprises. This is especially true if you live in an area that sees a lot of salt truck / chicken truck / work truck / neerdowell travel. The .5-.75â drop is a sweet spot that keeps you out a most scary situations without leaving you looking like a tonka truck.
- Price. Steeda discounts FTW.
- Looks. Steeda highlights under the chassis look amazing. Nothing looks over or under done. Attractively sturdy would be the best, visual, description.
- Front adjustable swaybar is a hot mess
- Parts of the swaybar (endlinks) were out of stock for close to a month
- Parts of the endlinks were missing upon arrival (rubber plugs)
- 1 endlink has went bad
- The way steeda warranty works, you have to purchase a new endlink and get a refund when you send the bad one back. Note - This may not be a big deal if you are home garaging your car as you can just send the faulty part back for a replacement at no cost (@steeda please confirm). As I am handing the work to more certified individuals, it is a bit of a hassle.

- NHV is increased from the front end
- There is a LOT more popping and squeaking when compared to the stock suspension. It is likely this is all related to the endlink, but we will see after it get replaced. It is my understanding that the kit is designed to keep NHV to stock levels.
