while I am thinking about smoking the chrome using plastic dip, does any one have any other ideas?

I am not a chrome fan, thinking about doing the same on the tail lights.

Just sell the grill. I got $400 for it and I've seen them go for more. The taillight trim and the gas cap I couldn't do without though

You have quite a few options, which I've ranked in terms of personal opinion and preference

1. Strip the chrome and have it painted (most expensive)
2. Have it professionally vinyl wrapped
3. PlastiDip it

Other suggestions:

1. Sell it to a forum member here and use the funds to buy an aftermarket replacement
2. Take it off (save it) and purchase an aftermarket replacement

Dip would take the least amount of time and can be easily removed, plus it's the cheapest. However, it's not going to look as good as paint or wrap IMO (Check out DYC's new Top Coat product)

Heres the thing, I like the grille, I do not like the chrome. I would like to replace the chrome with Competition Orange, the dip method is the most reasonable way of doing this. Luckily, they are in Coral Springs near me. Perhaps a visit to look at colors and get some pointers.
