Thanks man . I have put so much $$$ in to those 2 cars (both are on engine #3 ) that I am unlikely to find someone willing to pay what I think they are worth .

I desperately want that 9 second /M6 slip too but I may need to wait until I can do it safely(relatively ). I am still doing my research to see what I can get for it realistically. Not looking good from what I have seen so far .There have been a couple of cars with similar mods(built sleeve motor/transmission ) listed for high 40's/low 50's but who knows what they ended up getting for them .

I may just have to keep it on ice for now (so I don't break it ) while I focus on the 18 and GT 350.
Not sure the whipple is going to make the GT 350 that much of a strip car and I would be happy to run mid 10's .
It's kind of odd that with the number of boosted GT 350's around, I have not heard of any running in the 10's .

I did see one of fathous's turbo GT 350's the other day but it looks like it was having issues launching and could only run 11's .Its obviously capable of much more .

I was watching a couple nice GTs with built motors and basically ready to take out and hammer on, and they are still sitting there for sale as far as i know. Seems if you knew the work was done right, it’d be a no brainer to save thousands on one someone else has already built(as long as you liked the mods).

And i think i’ve seen 2 youtube videos of high 10 second passes...wana say both were procharged. Launch seemed to be the issue, which i’d fully expect with the 350. I just feel like the instant torque of the whipple would compliment the car so well. All i have around me is 1/8th mile tracks so i’m sure folks would be lining up to smoke my ass lol.

Thanks man .
I am thinking I should just quit messing around with that 3.31 rear end and swap in the 4.10's.
I figure that should increase my 1/8 trap to 110 mph and bring down my 1/8 ET to a sub 6.5(even with a 1.5x 60') which I think is needed to run a high 9.
If I power shift I should not really lose much with the extra shift in to 4th since the car will already be making steam.

Extra shifts?? Powerglide it! Lol jk.

With the long ratios of the Tremec and your 3.31 it probably wouldn’t hurt. But who knows, I haven’t “Launched” my car “Yet”. So don’t rely on my advice. 109 in the 1/8 was my lowest, usually 111-112 on the few passes I have made. Not looking at the taxi and just shortshifting netted my highest mph of 145. I’m looking to get a shiftlight and nail 7800 rpm shifts. We will see what that will net.

LOL at the glide, but I would consider a TH400.I was at US41 a couple of weekends ago and I saw Rainmakers new set up.it looks real good. It also looks the part(because race car) with the red button for the transbrake .

He was running consistent 10.0's down from 10.4's with the MT82.Not sure if he got the 9 as I left early .I took the Hellion/6r80 car and it was spin city on 275/50 17 drag radials. That track is about 100 miles one way and would never risk taking the KB car... again .Iast time I was there with the KB car it cost me $400 for a tow back home.lol:headbonk:

We are likely making similar power so I would hope with 4.10's my 1/8 trap would be similar to yours.

I think you will get that 9 once you do "launch" the car and get the 60' down .

Even a 1.6x range should put you in the 9.9 range as you know.

Do you have plans for a cage?

Nice, the road car is an official drag car. That 5.2 is insane with boost in it..when my car was getting a pc D1x installed and tuned, there was a gt-350 at the same time getting a P1x installed with a Tremec magnum swap. On 6lbs it made 700 rwhp..on pump..sick

Nice. if I end up swapping in a TH400 , I could then swap the Magnum in to the GT 350.
I will see ,but not sure how much power , the lightweight TR 3150 can take .

Also once the Whipple is on the GT 350 I plan on seeing what the intake will do for the Hellion car .I had to use the intake off my traded 12/TVS car since the 15 manifold did not work with the GT 350 heads . The 12 manifold intake /gaskets are the same design as the GT 350 but smaller so I am sure the GT350 intake will fit /seal with the heads better.

I did take another stab at that 9 last Wednesday, as I was able to adjust my 2 step.

I started off at 5500/same tire pressure of 18 psi cold....It was spin city and it continued to spin as I decreased the launch rpm by 500,untill 4000 .

It finally hooked but did not do any better than last time out(actually worse 1/8 ET/MPH ).DA was almost 3000 ft as compared to 1500 the last time out. No power shifting still.....I have to train my brain some more to do it.

I am done with the 3.31 rear end and next time I make a pass it will be with the 4.10's/28 inch tire..... and may be a cage.

APR splitter was almost off at the end of the pass. I thought the driver splitter strut broke during the pass but from the picture it looked like it was already broken from a previous pass.
