Here is a quote:
"...European drivers who want to feel like Steve McQueen should know that the performance of its 5.0 V8 gasoline engine will be somewhat lower. Specifically, the power drops from 481 to 464 hp".

I've seen reports from Ford saying the Bullitt will produce "at least" 475 hp. I was hoping that meant 480+.

The torque they list in NM converts to just under 420 ft-lb but rounds up.

481 is the metric equivalent of 475 imperial hp.

So what that report actually says in US language is the Euro Bullitt will have 458 hp instead of 475.

I'm hesitant to believe the source but the 481 number is easy to believe considering the 460 rating for regular GTs is pretty underrated too. They might only claim 481 but could very well be even higher.

That's the thing, they don't claim anything different than Ford US has done from January 14th. The metric horsepower that is used in Europe is a slightly smaller unit than the US horsepower so the 475 US horsepower translates to 481 metric hp.

However just like with the regular GT the engines that are used in the European models are detuned to a lower hp rating because of emissions regulations. The Euro Bullitt will be 464 metric hp, not only according to Motor1.es but it actually says so in Ford Europe's own press release as well:

464 metric hp = 458 US horsepower.

Yeah, I didn't see your post before I posted mine. Thanks for pointing out the difference, I always forget the metric and imperial hp rating difference.

If we're being picky it's actually closer to 482, but that's exactly what I came here to say anyways:thumbsup:

So is the Bullitt somewhere between the Power Pack 2 & 3? It has the hp gain (21) and presumably the same tune, as the Pwr Pk 2, but it also comes with the GT-350 upper intake from the Pwr Pk 3?

It is safe to assume that no one knows st this time.
It is also safe to assume it is not the Pwr Pack 2 tune as the engine has been altered with the GT350 components.

There is also the longevity/warranty aspects. The Bullitt will be eligible with full factory extended warranties up to 100,000 miles (or longer if ESP has extended the upper limit). You cannot get (last time I checked) an ESP extended warranty on a Power Pak car as the engine manufacturer warranty is replaced by the Ford Performance warranty (again, last time I checked).
