A10 with 3.55 puts you through the traps about 6800 in 6th, with 4.09 is 6100 in 7th.

4.56 puts you through the traps at 6800 in 7th

For 1/4 mile 3.55 or 4.56 is probably the quickest in the A10
3.55 or 4.88 in the MT

A10 3.15 is 7200 in 5th This might be the best gear.

You know your math!!
Since I launch in 2nd gear @ 2500 RPM, the lower gear ratio has my attention. My turbo charged 4 cylinder, red lines at 6500 and I run 26" (275/40/17) tires. Any idea, where 3.73 gears will put a 3600 lb/ 415 CCHP Ecoboost Mustang, at the end of the track??

My car crosses the stripe in 6 and a half gear.It works fine just was wondering if any one ran the 4.09 gear on a pp1 3.55 gear and what were the results.May change to the 4.09 if i get some more info on it.

There are a couple who have swapped to 4.09 but none that I know who have the A10.

You will keep the same MPH in the 1/4 but will ET higher with the 4.09
If you now ET 11.0 you will drop to 11.75 or so due to the additional shifts.

Looking at the ratios 3.15 is probably going to be the quickest gear.

4.09 will probably slow it down most of the time, BONE STOCK 3.55 are faster in my experience . Soon as you start to mod, e85 tune long tubes etc. 3.15 's for the win.
think about it man. ford has a whole different diff for the autos when the manuals run 3.73's.
if a taller gear were faster they'd probably save those dollars and roll with that.

With the 4.09's you will shift into 7th at the 1200 foot mark, unless you raise the shift point and rev limiter. This should run you through the traps at 7800. Very do-able. 1st gear will be worthless.

If you do try this let us know how it works.

The converter is tight from the factory. A converter with more stall will, depending on flash, be worth A BUNCH! But a lot depends on having drag radials , and whether the around town manners suit you for the stall you chose. I race an 8.60 drag car (dodge🙃) that flashes to 6300 and shift at 7450. The loss due to the loose converter is overcome because the motor is making 90 percent of max hp at launch, not having to climb up to it in each gear. With an A10, even though you have more gears, the same effect applies. Ask around about cost and gains, plus manners of an aftermarket converter. It may also lessen the problem of spin on the shifts. My last outing with my 19 GT a10 on e 85 I got sideways at 70 mph when it shifted, on stock PS4 tires. Had to lift. Too crisp a shift, terrible tire spin. I won't run the car again till I get the 305/45/17 r mickeys
