Exactly, that is like the GT500 getting a 10.6 and then never getting one again. It was a fluke. It is always what has something done for you lately. So when the guy loses a race, he can say,...."but 2 years ago someone got a 10.6!!"
Steeda ran 10.7 in their car.

It takes professional level track prep to get it done, but it's possible. On most average test and tune nights it's goign to be an 11.0 to 11.3 car straight out of the box though.

I did, but does that mean they're times aren't valid?

We should know all the details when the YouTube video comes out.

I never said their times are not valid did I?
All I was saying is tell the whole story when you do a long writeup with a lot of facts, like hero DA Weather Conditions,Sixty Foot Times and Prep Track Condition that most members including me will never have a chance to run their cars on.

Agreed. Based on what I've seen from other cars I'm assuming that they pulled a 1.6 or so 60' to get that E.T. since they're in the CFTP in high downforce/high drag mode.

I know a lot of people like to put a lot of meaning into the 60'. And it is an indication of what is to come of that particular run. But there so many cars that can make up for it after 60'. Just depends a lot on the car and of course the driver hooking up or not before 60'

I'm not saying you can judge a 1/4 mile time by the 60' alone by any stretch, but at this point in time we've seen enough runs from GT500's to know that if you're going to run a high 10 bone stock, you can't do it with a 1.9 or higher 60'. Modded cars can do amazing things, but all things being equal power wise, if you lose out that bad in the beginning you're never going to make it up on the back half when we're talking about stock vs stock.

Well the video is out and surprisingly they ran that time with a 1.74 60' time according to the video. They don't show it in the video, but the have a shot of the slip on the video thumbnail.
