Thanks Dave, I appreciate the feedback!! Hopefully V2.0 will fare better with the oil drips, but v1 is still light years ahead of the old form-a-funnel method!

Stay in touch!

V2 photos attached for chits and giggles.

I haven't had to use mine for an oil change yet (probably won't until April) but I had the belly pan off the car and checked the fitment. I'm not sure you could make a better funnel if you tried. This thing clicks nicely into place and seems to give full 360° coverage of the filter.

Funny, you’re the third person to ask in the last 24 hours. Unfortunately there’s been zero movement on that front. I still need a test car to sit in my garage for a week so I can rapid prototype. I haven’t completely given up, but it’ll probably be a while.

@THX 138 - aren't you near indy with a 2016 model and a spin-on filer? :crackup:

This device is almost enough for me to buy the parts/pieces needed to use the newer filter element. I guess at least the spin-on filters are still in stock!

I've just discovered that the PP1 mustang is different, can't find the thread but it had to do with the brace underneath or something like that being different. I think a PP1 will require a different funnel.

He is, and he offered to let me trade cars with him sometime this winter, it just hasn’t happened yet. Also, I need one of my printers to be down for an entire week so I can quickly get through iterations of the design, and both printers have been printing nonstop for over 2 months.

The final hurdle is…. How many will I actually sell. As bad as it sounds, I’d hate to spend $100 in wasted plastic and 20 hours of time if I’m only selling 10-20 at $20/per profit (and that’s If @Gearz and I able to come up with something good enough that people will actually want.) At least when I designed the one for the 17-20 GT350’s, I had a feeling it would also fit the gt500 (which it does, and that’s where 2/3 of my sales have gone.)

How much is the conversion? $450?
