As the Title states which would be a better traction option for a 750rwhp whippled 2018 Mustang GT with Kelltrac setup front and rear? I'm currently running the 305 Nitto R2's and need more traction from a dig. I'm leaning towards the R888R because the 315 is only .28 in. wider than the 305 and the R888R is .68 in. wider and I believe these tires are super close in dry traction. I've never ran the Toyo's but have heard great things... I know I'm asking a lot trying to dig this car but I just want the best traction from a 20" tire. Thans!! Also is an auto 10 speed...

The Toyo has stiffer sidewalls so it's likely not going to hook any better. The 10mm difference won't matter.

Have you thought about a 305/45-17?

Also, is the car a stick?

It's my daily so I want to stick with 20's and it's an auto.

The lack of sidewall is going to hurt you. You are going to have to live with the lack of traction or drop down to a 17 and STILL have to deal with a lack of traction, but significantly less so than if running a 20 inch rim. That's the reality. I tried staying with a 20inch rim, I just couldn't make it work at that power level. The 17 made a difference, but it still is an issue on the street just not as much. I have not yet played with tire pressures on the 17's, however.

Also, from what I heard when researching the R888's, they are noisy and not good in the rain at all.

I know I'm not going to get the optimum traction from either tire, just wondering whick would work better...

I'm running the 555R2's and am reasonably happy with them in the traction department, and have been pleasantly surprised by their performance in the rain.

Update! I got my wheels in and made a few tweaks and ended up getiing the car dialed in on the 305 Nitto 555R2's. I had forgot that I used a spacer to lift the rear of the car because the 305's were rubbing. I removed the spacers dialed in the front and rear Keltrac suspension and now the car hooks 100% from a dig!
